Debt Validation & Creditor Communication Assistance Program

A program that may help eligible clients exercise their right to request debt validation from collection agencies and navigate written creditor communications in a structured, compliance-aware manner.

Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), consumers have the right to request validation of debts being collected by third-party collection agencies. Our Debt Validation & Creditor Communication Assistance Program helps San Diego clients understand this right and, where applicable, prepares formal debt validation request letters on their behalf. This program is advisory and administrative in nature and does not constitute legal advice. Clients with complex legal matters are encouraged to consult a licensed attorney.

Our team will review collection accounts appearing on your credit reports, explain what debt validation means and what collectors are required to provide, and assist in preparing written correspondence. If a collector fails to validate a debt and continues collection activity, clients may have additional rights under the FDCPA; however, enforcement of those rights may require legal counsel. The outcome of debt validation requests varies significantly depending on the collector, the age of the debt, available documentation, and other factors. We make no guarantees regarding the removal of collection accounts or changes to credit scores.

This program is intended to help clients navigate a specific and often confusing area of consumer financial law in an informed, organized way. It is not a debt settlement, debt negotiation, or legal representation service. Outcomes will vary by individual situation, collector practices, and the specifics of each debt. Clients should be aware that requesting debt validation does not stop collection activity or credit reporting in all circumstances, and results are not guaranteed.

Credit Repair San Diego provides credit education and dispute assistance services. Results vary by individual credit profile and no specific outcomes, loan approvals, or rate improvements are guaranteed.
